FOCUS CAMPANIA TEATRO FESTIVAL 2025
I due focus saranno segnalati nel programma del Campania Teatro Festival 2025 con un codice colore: il rosso, storicamente rappresentativo di Quartieri di Vita, per il Focus “Comunità, Quartieri e Teatri di Vita”; il blu, per il Focus “NOW MED, BEYOND SWANA”.
Quest’anno il Campania Teatro Festival ospita due focus che indagano l’impatto socioantropologico del teatro come veicolo di apertura alla diversità e punto di incontro di “differenze” quale unico possibile viatico di ricchezza, benessere collettivo, evoluzione, equilibrio. Riportare il teatro alla sua forma aurorale di rito è la dichiarata missione del Campania Teatro Festival diretto da Ruggero Cappuccio, che si concretizza innanzitutto attraverso l’accessibilità trasversale alla cultura, elemento caratterizzante della rassegna durante questa direzione artistica. “Battiti per la pace”, il claim della rassegna, sottolinea l’urgenza della chiamata alle arti a cui ci spinge il panorama internazionale, identificando nella figura dell’artista un ruolo chiave nell’orientare, rieducare e offrire spunti di riflessione alla collettività. Così il Campania Teatro Festival si costituisce parte attiva in un momento storico in cui la parola “confine” predomina nella peggiore delle sue accezioni e apre le porte, invece, al dialogo e allo scambio.
In occasione del decimo anniversario del progetto di formazione e teatro sociale Quartieri di Vita, il primo focus è dedicato ai temi dell’inclusione, dell’accessibilità, del senso di comunità e dell’accoglienza. Un omaggio a ciò che si discosta dal conforme — non dalla norma in sé, ma da ciò che viene erroneamente percepito come tale — e che valorizza l’individuo in tutte le sue forme e sfumature. Una celebrazione delle differenze, delle unicità, delle traiettorie inattese: di tutto ciò che, anziché conformarsi ai codici imposti dalla società, segue con autenticità la logica profonda e inclusiva della natura.
Il secondo focus del Festival è dedicato alla scena contemporanea del Mediterraneo, dove le lingue si intrecciano in pratiche performative radicali e ibride. Al centro, il teatro arabo contemporaneo dialoga con quello europeo, dando voce a storie di resistenza, diaspora, censura e rinascita. Il Focus diventa così un laboratorio critico e artistico che decostruisce stereotipi, sfida le geografie imposte e immagina nuove forme di coesistenza attraverso la cooperazione e la mobilità artistica.
Entrambi i focus ospiteranno un visitors programme per gli operatori di settore e prevederanno momenti di condivisione collettiva attraverso incontri aperti al pubblico.

The two focuses will be recognisable within the CTF25 programme through a colour code; red for the one on Inclusivity, “Comunità, Quartieri e Teatri di Vita” for its historical bond with the social theatre project “Quartieri di Vita”; blue for “NOW MED, BEYOND SWANA“.
This year, Campania Teatro Festival hosts two focuses on the socio-anthropological impact of theatre as a vehicle of openness to diversity and the only possible viaticum of collective well-being, evolution, balance. Bringing theatre back to its auroral form of shared ritual is the declared mission of the Campania Teatro Festival directed by Ruggero Cappuccio, which is concretely brought forward first and foremost through the concrete efforts made towards transversal accessibility to culture, a characteristic element of the festival during this artistic direction. “Battiti per la pace”, the 2025 edition’s claim, plays on the duality of the word “battiti” in Italian, which translates both as the noun “heartbeat” and the verb “to fight”. This very duality underlines the urgency of the call to the arts to which the international scenario pushes us, identifying in the figure of the artist a key role in orienting, challenging and re-educating the community. In this way, Campania Teatro Festival takes an active part in a historical moment in which the word “border” predominates in the worst of its meanings and opens its doors, instead, to dialogue and exchange.
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the social theatre project Quartieri di Vita, created by Ruggero Cappuccio, the first focus of CTF25 is dedicated to inclusion, accessibility, sense of community. A tribute to what escapes the conformity – a “deviation” not from the norm per se, but from what is wrongly perceived as such – and enhances the individual in all its expressions and nuances. A celebration of differences, uniqueness, unexpected trajectories: of everything that, instead of succumbing to the codes imposed by society, follows with authenticity the profoundly inclusive logic of nature.
The second focus of this year’s edition of the Festival is devoted to the contemporary Mediterranean scene, where different languages intertwine in radical and hybrid performance practices. At the centre, contemporary Arab theatre dialogues with European theatre, giving voice to stories of resistance, diaspora, censorship and rebirth. The focus thus becomes a critical and artistic hub that deconstructs stereotypes, challenges imposed geographies and imagines new forms of coexistence through cooperation and artistic mobility.
Both focuses will host a visitors programme for industry professionals and will include moments of collective sharing through meetings open to the public.
