It is always exciting to watch someone do something you know nothing about: for instance an athlete jumping with the help of a pole for over 5 meters, or a pilot going at 300km/h. We look at these things as if from another planet, as if the person were in that moment kissed by the Gods. In a way, it is also like being in front of a great singer or a talented musician, where we lose ourselves in his world and what he is doing just seems so simple.
Of course talent is never enough. Athletes are also like musicians: what counts are the skills and ability, instinct and devotion. This show presents a selection of words and music, songs and inspirational thoughts that great artist have left us, in considering the topic of sports. Because in the end, artist and athlete both share the everyday job of raising the bar a little higher. This concert by the group Musica da Ripostiglio will most certainly prove it.
