In the late 60’s Roberto De Simone and the anthropologist Annabella Rossi recorded in the sanctuary of San Michele del Gargano some verses and a lauda poem dedicated to Father Pio for the Archangel Michael. Surprisingly, the motif behind both songs was the same known as “the partisan’s song”. The present version, where De Simone went on to shaping topics from the passion of Christ, follows the ancient trails of spiritual disguises, this time carried out through some very well-known melodies.
