For the first time in Italy, Hermann Hesse’s novel Siddhartha has been adapted into a play. Despite showing profound respect for the author’s message, the staging aims to guide the audience towards a complete reinterpretation of the story. The novel frequently returns, as if the public leafed through the twelve chapters of the book and merges with the animated images, in a linguistic osmosis between theatre and the audiovisual sphere. The staging creates a fusion of music and dance, prose and visual art.
