Finally, the Fondazione Campania dei Festival and ARS Progetti present a performance as part of the cooperation and assistance plan to the Cultural Institutions of Kosovo Culture for All project. The Italian choreographer Alessandra Panzavolta, director of the Ballet Corps of the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, now directs the Kosovan dance company as part of a wider project aimed as supporting the cultural rebirth of a war-ravaged country which, through culture, has found a stimulus to re-affirm its presence in Europe.
The ballet represents a modern-day version of Scheherazade who, through the telling of stories and fables, is able to save her own life. A metaphor of the National Ballet of Kosovo which has recently reformed and now seeks that international recognition that it deserves.
