Festeggiando Rino Mele (Celebrating Rino Mele)
with Mario Martone and Aldo Masullo
Rino Mele must without a doubt be celebrated. Poliedric, eclectic, precursor of themes and motives capable of bringing in connection different worlds. He has always used poetry as a pivot point around which everything else spins. The fact that a man of cinema and theatre and a phylosopher are both there to introduce him confirms his unquestioned originality.
Canzoni dal dolce rumore della vita (Songs with the sweet noise of life)
with Antonio Raia (saxophone) and Renato Fiorito (electronica)
Antonio Raia — author of Asylum, the cd featuring solitary explorations on the sounds engraved in the air with a saxophone —, is given the task of unraveling some songs, only to then recompose them. Raia, inspired by the writings by Mele, is presenting a work conceived specifically for the Festival.
