Ouverture – Per Carlo Bernari
with Enrico Bernard
readings by Andrea de Goyzueta
When saying Carlo Bernari one immediately thinks of Tre Operai, the novel that opened up a new path in the Italian literature of Twentieth Century. Much less know to audiences is his production of verses. If we today have the possibility of reading it, to pay it a tribute, it is thanks to the work of the son of the writer Enrico Bernard, he himself author and playwright, that gathered the poetry in a work entitled Cose in versi.

Oratorio profano per Giuseppe Patroni Griffi
(An unholy Sunday school for Giuseppe Patroni Griffi)
La morte della bellezza / Death of beauty
From an idea by Nadia Baldi
directed, readapted and performed by Nadia Baldi
with Gina Ferri and Antonella Ippolito, Roberta Rossi (piano), Dario Zeno (drums), Andrea Bonioli (guitar)
The style of Patroni Griffi is a “water style”, that Nadia Baldi has translated by transforing The Death of Beauty in vocal theatre. Three actresses are the only set design, brought to life through the harmonization of soft – yet scathing – music. The homosexual love between two characters, in a Napoli that is filled with war and under plane bombings: a sensual and sentimental love, controversial and opposed is the counterpart of the raw and enchanted atmosphere of the fatal city.
