On July 20 1969, a notice from a local newspaper reads: «One of the representatives from the Brunner company, based in Zurich, is hiring construction workers. All candidates must show-up at 5.30pm, at the second-class waiting room in the town station. After selections, chosen candidates will leave for Switzerland totally at the expenses of the firm».
July 20 is also the day that man first landed on the moon; in the small town station in the south of Italy, men from all over the country start to gather. Their wives and mothers are with them. They carry their luggages and are ready to take off.
