Matilde is dealing with the workers dismanteling the house of her family. A patriarchal family, where it was considered normal to have control over other people’s lives. Although unaware of it, Matilde represents something totally different: she is the result of an extramarital affair held secret to preserve honour. Hence, she arms herself with a different perspective, chooses to open the closet and look deep inside herself. Matilde is a symbol of revolution seen as a brave act in search of authenticity.
