Replay is a surprising re-stirring of the memories and considerations by an actress that, wishing to watch a game that might never start in her private home, decides to flee from the rehearsals of the show she was preparing: Euripides’s Hecuba. This all happens in front of her inseparable side-kick, the gobbling puppy-dog Mimì, who witnesses the strange rampancy of her
human flatmate: the protagonist, in fact, although Neapolitan, is a fanatical Roma supporter, who has sworn to never set foot in a stadium again, after finding out that they don’t ever show the replay of the goals. «We suffer and torment ourselves waiting for a moment of joy, and when it finally comes not only is there a chance that it might be missed-out, but it’s not even possible to relive that moment, as desired, because the match must unavoidably go on. At this point, much better to watch it in television».
