The Belgian choreographer Michèle Noiret has received widespread international acclaim in the last two years with Hors-champ, a research project which merges two highly specific languages, that of cinema with that of live performance.
The complex and impassioned experience of Hors-champ, has consented her to fine-tune the assembly and direction of this latest “dance-cinema” project. Radioscopies – the subtitle of this work is “a scenic short film” – is inspired by a radio interview by Jacques Chancel to the Belgian author Conrad Detrez (recipient of the Renaudot Prize for his novel L’Herbe à brûler). Noiret’s new creation is an intimate journey into the lives of these two people, penetrating their very innermost selves: «An inner world in which reality and fiction become confused. A tense atmosphere in which the dichotomy body and spirit disappears. Who desires who? Who dominates who?».
