The creation revolves around the resurrection of a female messiah. A priestess, a saint, a prophetess who sees the future, a prostitute, a goddess of the past, present and future.

This poetical and powerful text, written by Ruggero Cappuccio for Jan Fabre, entrusts Cassandra, the daughter of the king of Troy who was taken hostage by the Greek commander Agamemnon, with five movements, five humours, five colours and five elements which are bearers of meaning and sources of inspiration, around which the speech that Cassandra addresses to humanity revolves: Fog, Wind, Fire and Smoke, Steam and Rain.

Thirty years after the staging of the poem, Tiezzi presents three new shows based on the plays of Edoardo Sanguineti, Mario Luzi and Giovanni Giudici. It begins with Purgatory because this is the canticle of friendship and art: the characters are musicians, painters and poets, they talk of art, possibly a road to salvation. Everything gears up for the encounter with Beatrice in the Earthly Paradise, where the girl rebukes him for having lost the “right path” of knowledge.

The show has been devised for the 75th Avignon Festival.
Isabelle Huppert, one of the world’s most successful actresses and the actor and director Tiago Rodrigues, have planned the staging of the renowned work by Anton Chekhov. “I have always considered The Cherry Orchard a drama about the end of things and goodbyes”, writes the director. “I was wrong. Staging this work today means talking of a time of social change, where the characters don’t understand that the extraordinary is the new normality”.
