The performance P.I.A. (Uncertainty principle of a soul) by Bruno Barone takes its name from the German physicist Heisenberg’s “uncertainty principle” proposed in 1927. This theory affirms that there are limits for human knowledge and that there are certain complementary variables which means that the precise measurement of one variable renders the other imprecise, and vice versa. «Thus, just as in physics – says Barone – the more you try to measure one element precisely, the greater the error when measuring the other. We have a parallel in life when we consider sentiments from our own point of view then we distance ourselves from their real comprehension. P.I.A. explores the theme of love in its various nuances and through the history of its characters. We see stories which cross over in a veritable mélange of events and powerful emotions: profound suffering, sheer joy, and much irony. All of this leads the spectators to be involved, to open their eyes to a new perspective which shows love as a universal sentiment and free from any type of discrimination whatsoever».
