Prima assoluta
Doctor Carmine Marino and Doctor Biagio Spedalieri are two general practitioners. One unwillingly conducts his profession in Naples and the other returns enthusiastically to Naples after working for many years in Milan. Together but with two very different moods, they go to visit the homes of their patients and wander through the city, encountering that incredible vitality which animates it. The spectators who accompany them on their journey are able to participate in the various events which constitute their day.
Napoli.Interno.Giorno is a very special walk, an itinerary through the culture and history of Naples, represented in its ironic rituals. The spectators follow the doctors in their wanders through the back streets of the city centre, into the homes of their patients and they are able to take in the humanity and hospitality of the city and participate in the emotions which fill the lives of its inhabitants: from sorrowful mourning in the first case to the joy of a new birth in the second, a metaphor of cultural renewal which becomes the occasion for an invitation to lunch.
The performance will start in Palazzo Carafa, in via San Biagio dei Librai, to continue in Vico Purgatorio ad Arco and terminate in via Atri.
This performance – written by Beatrice Baino and Carmine Borrino from an idea by Marco Luciano, who also directed the production – is a project of C.R.A.S.C., Centro di Ricerca sull’Attore e Sperimentazione Culturale.
