Maurizio is a director about to stage the play “Gioco delle Parti” (The Role Game) by Pirandello. Only a technician is with him on stage: Carmine, a middle-aged Sicilian that knows nothing about the play. Maurizio is somehow forced to re-enact the plot in order to explain it to him. Carmine, trying to miss out on his duty and skip the hard work, keeps talking to him, suggesting with details new ideas. This leads the director to rethink his work, finding a completely different style of direction: a ‘Pulp’ Pirandello. New and unthinkable plot twists build up to a dark finale.
