The exhibition gathers pictures of the news reporter Mario Francese, killed on January 26th, 1979, just under his home after returning from a day spent at the news group ‘Giornale di Sicilia’. He was the first to write about a commission by Cosa Nostra and of the fracture between Corleone’s “viddani” and the traditional mafia. He was the only one to interview Ninetta Bagarella, wife of Totò Riina and sister of the killer that will take his life. He was the first to speak of the Peppino Impastato event as a case of homicide; to write about contracts and subcontracts managed by Cosa Nostra. It goes without any doubt that Francese was murdered for the things he wrote about.
