During the 50’s and 60’s many Italians migrated. Their background stories, the places where they came from, traditions and languages, the foods were all very different. When they reached Switzerland, however, they were all just “Italians”. Les Italiens follows the same method of the previous performance, the work entitled Blue Tired Heroes, through which the company has experimented the process of incarnation of a heroic figure: Superman. Working together with eight retired seniors that are in theatre to play cards. In Les Italiens three card players all born in the 40’s have been interviewed and engaged in the project, along with three sons of immigrants born in the 60’s and 70’s and two dancers, recalling individual and collective memories.
