e copiosamente rintracciabile in Cervantes, Molière, Petito e qualche Anonimo
The farce cruelly crosses centuries of theatrical history and flows, latent or overflowing, in the writings of apparently distant authors, from Cervantes to Petito, from Molière to Lope de Rueda. We have done nothing but identify his unstoppable course and follow him, from century to century, in a clear call between drives, instincts, machinations and beatings by orbs. What we didn’t know is how much this matter, of life and of scene, could lead us to reflect on the theater and its laws, on the truth of the actor and on the amazement of the spectator. We asked the actors participating in the workshop to give us back the flaming vision of a show for them meaningful, which they watched as Molière watched Tiberio Fiorilli and his Scaramouche mask. The sense of this path / workshop is here, in the meeting between their live looks on the theater and the living matter of the farce. We don’t care what form this meeting can take; the important thing is that it happens in the next century, that is today.
