lezione aperta su Shakespeare a cura di PETER BROOK

The most shakespearian among the Shakespeare’s directors: Peter Brook comes to Naples to give a lesson about the Bard to the audience of Napoli Teatro Festival Italia. An open conference that looks like a retrospective about an author who dedicated his whole work to translate for the audience the universal meaning of the greatest exponent of the theatrical West. Brook is for Shakespeare what Freud represents for Greek tragedy: it is the sign that interprets the meaning. From Shakespeare he began his theatrical work and, like an helmsman, Brook led us along the banks of the Thames and from Stratford he never moved again.
