“It wasn’t the water that you loved, it was the sense of suspension that gave you the illusion of flying”. A young swimming champion goes through her brief life, during the loss of beauty, talent and reason in her absurd downfall towards the void. Swimming is for her an encounter and conflict with herself, an escape and at the same time the search of the personal self. Water is for her the start and denial of life, an ancestral element giving freedom, change and desire of transformation, but also the magnetic force absorbing her vital energy. The running of time is marked by water that gives rhythm to her life and fuels her dreams, up to the point that she is sucked in a whirlwind dragging her to the bottom of everything. Water is the silent protagonist of her life, in this staging it is the central element that celebrates life and death through sound creations with water performed by Odile Barlier, that will accompany the extraordinary interpretation by Pamela Villoresi.
