The Museum of Pietrarsa is holding an exhibition on the design of the first Italian railway, the Naples-Portici line. The exhibition itinerary provides a detailed account of the origins of the railway which connected Naples to Portici and reached the town of  Nocera, with a branch line to Castellammare.  The guided tour Pietrarsa Borbonica will be organised by the association Karma. The museum visit will be enhanced by plays and shows devoted to the Bourbon family: the plays Franchischiello, l’ultimo re di Napoli and Filippo di Borbone, storia di un quasi re, the dance shows Sguardi sull’Ottocento, and I colori della regina devoted to Maria Carolina, and the dance show Il viaggio e Il corpo nelle immagini, tableaux vivants of the painting Inaugurazione della nuova strada di ferro seguita in Napoli by the artist Salvatore Fergola (1796-1874).
