The result of an incredible residency period in the Crozet Islands (a sub-Antarctic archipelago in the Southern Indian Ocean), the protagonist of La douceur perméable de la rosée is the gentleness of nature, a remedy and antithesis of the violence of our society. In a soulful research into energy, rhythm and repetition, the choreographer Paco Dècina emerged himself in this uncontaminated garden to listen to the forceful sound of silence. The sheer power of nature is transformed into a generous performance which reaches out to the public without any hesitation whatsoever. After returning from this residency programme, Dècina now invites the public to relive his own sensations and to make them aware of the tension that exists between the inherent harmony of nature and our physical incapacity to embrace this: «What I questioned myself on, after returning from this voyage, was the dichotomy between the spontaneous harmony of nature and the pettiness of Man. It was a true revelation, it is this fear that prevents us from abandoning ourselves to these landscapes inhabited only by the simplicity of reality».
