«For many years I had tried staging this sort of text – explains Anna Redi – and the formation of a theatre group, coming not only from Napoli, gave me just that opportunity.
The story is very well know in Islamic literature, it tells of a group of birds that travel in search of their true King; a ritual journey full of obstacles and challenges to overcome, and to find one’s self.
Each one of the actor dancers will interpret a character with the least set design and costumes required, complying with rigour and agile acting, in order to go from dervish to princess to bird».
