The young Neapolitan award-winning author Maurizio de Giovanni, (TV series Il Commissario Ricciardi and
I Bastardi di Pizzofalcone) debuts with a two-act comedy at this year’s Festival. The protagonist Massimo is a company employee waiting to be promoted; he lives in his own apartment (with a “separate entrance”, hence the title of this work) that he often lends to his boss Alfredo for his furtive meetings with his lover Rosalba.
One evening Massimo meets Rosalba who has decided not to leave the apartment, to oblige her lover to leave his wife Corinne after many years of empty promises, but Massimo’s fiancée Luisa – jealous and apparently moralist – appears on the scene. From that meeting a series of misunderstanding are created in the pure style of
“pink” comedy which will unveil to the five protagonists the truth about their relationships and an unforeseen event for their future.
