«A stripped Othel, reduced to six characters: Othello (the culprit); Iago (the misogyni); Cassio (critical consciousness who becomes a narrator); Desdemona (the victim); Emilia (the unjust justice) and Roderigo (the puppet). A reinterpretation of the Shakespearian tragedy in a contemporary key, with a strong gaze on the relationship between a man and woman starting from a terrible statistic: one million six hundred and fifty thousand women be- tween the ages of 15 and 40 are victims of physical or sexual abuse, and about one million have been raped or tempted rape. 34% of women who are subjected to violence are victims of their mate, most of them by jealousy».
