Following the great success in 2012 with the Festival’s focus on Argentina, Claudio Tolcachir returns to Naples with his latest work in co-production with the Festival. What strikes the spectator when watching Tolcachir’s performances is the levity with which he tackles these sometimes dramatic themes, and makes the spectator feel part of the story. In Dinamo, the Argentinian author examines the theme of solitude through the story of three women who live together but without knowing it. Ada, a former performer lives in an abandoned caravan in an unnamed place. She is now 70 years old and hopes to find the inspiration and passion of her past once more. Her niece Marisa is ready to take up her career as a tennis player once again, abandoned 28 years previously because of powerful hallucinations. A strange cohabitation indeed; although living in parallel, their two worlds never meet. What the two women do not know is that inside the kitchen cupboard lives Harima, an immigrant who is secretly trying to communicate with her family. A grotesque situation that will undoubtedly involve the public.
