An itinerant acting tradition for theater and cinema between the 40s and 60s

curated by Roberto D’Avascio for Arci Movie

This film review aims to investigate the figure of the great interpreter of Neapolitan tradition in cinema between the end of the 40s and the mid60s, paying particular attention to the acting strategies implemented, characterized by a specific shape of body, gestures, and voice, and underlining the strong link with a stratified theatrical matrix.
