Bianco su Bianco is a new performance by Daniele Finzi Pasca, one of the most interesting choreographers in the international dance scenario. On stage, two clowns playfully create tragicomic situations. They tell a story always balanced between sweet and nostalgic absurdity, a surreal world which is ferociously serene, a theatre which is a reflection of itself, where illusion and the make-believe are always unveiled, where one laughs and is moved, where the clowns do not embody stupidity but more the fragility of defeated heroes. As Finzi Pasca says: «hospital beds, the bathroom tiles in a grandmother’s old house, the handkerchief that a father waves when we leave, your smile, the garden buried after a snowstorm, certain silences, a glass of milk, the pages of our school books, the powder coating the clown’s faces, the children’s stories that keep fear away in the night.
