The birth of the Commedia dell’Arte completely changes the Acting as job. Since then, the actors sign an agreement in front of a notary setting duties and protection. Today the work agreement is considered to be a dream in Italy. Cultural Politics has sacrificed and depressed a major sector in our Country. The Italian youngers are forced to invest time and energies in training, to accept poor salaries to keep staging, or get other jobs to support themselves. The project Attori in vetrina aims to ironically underline the difficult conditions in which the Italian actors are today. As Antonella Ippolito and Franca Abbategiovanni say: « we want to pacifically protest and raise the issue to all those who will be around browsing, working and making shopping during the days of the Festival. We will do it through our project Attori in vetrina. In the shop windows of the major streets, it will be possible to find young actors wearing signs that say provocative messages concerning the very precarious existence of actors. They will show the context in which they are forced to live to make their dreams come true».
