A theatrical and pedagogical project in its ninth year, Arrevuoto brings this year’s Festival to a close at the Arena di Pietrarsa. Maurizio Braucci has started from a text by Jules Romains Donogoo to examine the issues of modernity as a concept constructed on financial interests.
«Donogoo – explains Braucci – offers adolescents the opportunity to make this delicate reflection and at the same time, to relate directly to the public. The music, absent in the original text, was chosen during the laboratory and training phases with a precise objective of creating a more ideal atmosphere given that the tale develops between two continents. Thus, the creative adventure of Arrevuoto continues with Donogoo; the ninth edition is set in the South where the continuing theme is a performance which examines the relationship between theatre and pedagogics, thus giving a new face to a bourgeoisie and abstract art form to become something politically closer to us, rather like the works of Pasolini and Foucault».
