«The birth of evil, along with it’s creeping-in of the human soul and overtaking control of the will, is by far the most fierce and unbearable conflict that the conscious must put up with. This is how the Macbeth starts, and the battlefield in which it is set. Once the opposing sides take their position on this battlefield, however, something unexpected occurs. Almost as if Shakespeare himself were suggesting that we don’t pick a side, avoiding negotiations with both, and rather try to gain joy from the massacre itself, from the torn, dismembered bodies and the incessant blood flowing».
