A Testa Sutta is the first screenplay by Luana Rondinelli that features a male protagonist. Just like her other previous works (Taddrarite and Giacominazza), the story is set in Sicily and is told through Sicilian language. The scenario is that of public housing, dense and poisonous as bee-hives, that nonetheless include examples of lively complicity. Among the buildings and noisy street kids, we learn of two characters, who are the exact opposite of each other and yet somehow “complementary”: “U biunnu” is a child suffering from “warm-heartedness”, while his cousin is the “mafia bully” in the block, that has taken on his vulnerability.
