The tragedy of King Lear is recognized as the perfect representation of the human condition. Lear loves no one but himself and it’s the loss of love that drives him to madness. During the storm, he has a breakthrough metamorphosis, he becomes humble. The tempest is the peak of chaos with Lear surrendering and coming back as a human being among men, weak, bitter, but finally barren of the crown that leads him to destruction.
