The actress puts herself in the shoes of the author, considered to be the greatest Brazilian woman writer of the twentieth century. Lispector is endowed with a superhuman, rebellious, reluctant intensity. Her story is not just a simple account. First and foremost, it is primordial life, living and breathing. Her tentative, indirect speech provides the most appropriate way of giving voice to those “stammering mouths” that are unable to protest at their state of misery and abandonment. It is an acrobatic, desperate and ironic attempt to link the events to that deep feeling which gives life meaning.
