Together again after twenty-five years, Peppe Barra and Lamberto Lambertini invite the public back to the theatre with a show which seeks to drag people out of the recent difficult situation. Non c’è niente da ridere (There’s nothing to laugh about) is set in a theatre. The title draws on a sentence that actors often think about when the audience smiles during a serious play. Two actors, monologues, both traditional and more modern songs, as well as sudden and surreal incursions into the classic repertoire inject life into a show which ends with the characters wearing masks.
