This is how Dodi worded the pact that tied him to his brothers in a timeless bond of love and loyalty. Even though it had a playful tone, respecting the pact was guaranteed by the authority stemming from Dodi’s boldness. The fundamental question is to what extent the pact could survive now that he, the second child, is gone.
