A deep, layered and touching text that tells the case of Matthew Shepard, a student who was brutally killed for reasons of homophobic hatred in the Wyoming town after which the project is named. The Laramie project goes beyond the news report, retracing the experience of its creators – Moisés Kauffmann and the Tectonic Theater – who, shortly after the crime, spent long months in Laramie interviewing the inhabitants of the city. This is because theater must become a living instrument of confrontation with reality, a catalyst for debates that also affect all of us closely.
