In the 5th century AD a woman, philosopher, astronomer, mathematician and scientist named Hypatia was murdered. She was stripped naked, her flesh torn with shards, her eyes were pulled out, and the remains of her body scattered around the city and set on fire. Who is Hypatia? What remains of her reality? What is the sense of the transitory and ephemeral human wandering, if destined to be exhausted by time and historical manipulation? In its ineffability Hypàte spreads like music, she is no longer her and she is no other than her.
