Prima assoluta

In the western world, roughly eighty-five kilos of meat per person are eaten every year. In order to meet the demand for food of animal origin, animals are no longer bred the traditional way, rather, they are “mass-produced” through cruel, intensive farming. Twenty young actors led by Mascia Musy and Emanuela Giordano present A bocca piena, a study of the consequences of our eating habits, a collection of testimonies, documents and provocations.
Following a seminar/workshop, which focused on La pelle dell’orso by Margherita d’Amico, Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer and Beyond Beef: The Rise and Fall of the Cattle Culture by Jeremy Rifkin, the group has put together this choral stage drama. A bocca piena, created by Mascia Musy and produced by Neraonda, will also be made into a docufilm for RAI Cinema.
Neraonda was founded in 2001 with the aim of exploring contemporary attitudes through theatre and audiovisual productions. Neraonda is always centred on contemporary drama, paying particular attention to strong ethical and social themes.
