An e-mail sent by mistake between two perfect strangers is the spark of this modern fairy-tale. After the initial embarrassment between Emmi Rothner – wife and irreproachable mother, and Leo Leike – psycholinguist and victim of the last in a long line of sentimental disasters, they start a relationship marked by complicity and full of reciprocal irony destined to evolve into a more profound sentiment which risks drawing both parties into its folds.
A literary success of the Austrian writer and journalist Daniel Glattauer, Good Against the North Wind sold millions of copies worldwide and was defined by “Der Spiegel” as “one of the most riveting love stories of contemporary literature”.
A comedy delivered with brilliant dialogue playing on the fragile equilibrium between real and virtual life is directed for the Festival stage by Paulo Valerio and interpreted by Chiara Caselli and Roberto Citran.
