One clammy summer evening, in an upper middle-class apartment block in the centre of a large city, the owners of the top-floor apartments organise a top secret meeting.
They debate on a very serious piece of news indeed: the town planning surveyor will have to examine the roof terraces. Through the years, and from custom, the access to these terraces, which were once a right of way, have now been transformed in the private property of the tenants of the uppermost floor. The impartial eye of the surveyor could easily become indiscreet eye of the spoilsport.
Visible unauthorised constructions, asbestos roofing never removed, illegal storage, mysterious plants and even a bed-and-breakfast with a roof garden: every one of the irreproachable protagonists fears the coming visit… A grotesque and surreal text written and directed by Marco Mario de Notaris, and not without unexpected turns of event.
