The universally renowned masters Pierre Boileau and Thomas Narcejac – better known as Boileau- Narcejac – wrote between 1952 and 1991 around forty novels including masterpieces of dark-fiction, the adventures of Arsenio Lupin, and a series of mystery novels for children. Their writings have given birth to highly original screenplays, such as Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo and Henri-George Clouzot’s Les Diaboliques.
Giancarlo Sepe has chosen these writers as inspiration for his latest performance, Sudori freddi (Cold Sweat): «writers who voyage along the viscid streets of appearances and mortal roads of seduction in a play of postponement which has the sole subject of the disappearance and reconstruction of a loved one who exists no more and who is recreated to be loved once more, but this time loved more and with greater awareness.

[…] A box is the claustrophobic scenario for a story made of love and danger, of desire and unveiling, of escape and shadowing, of objects and vortices of perdition».
