James Thierrée presents on the Festival stage the play La grenouille avait raison (The Frog was Right), a brilliant and light-hearted insight into the world of children. Dancer, scenographer, acrobat, Thierrée was born and raised in a family of circus artistes; the wonderful and melancholic life of the clown was part of his childhood. Together with Valérie Doucet (contortionist and equilibrist), Mariama (singer), Yann Nedelec and Thi Mai Nguyen (dancers), Thiérrée continues on his adventurous journey through the fantasy-like world of the circus, dance and theatre. This musical performance is both a fable and contemporaneously, realistic and grotesque; it evokes our hidden dreams and our childhood nightmares.
