Soleil Couchant is a jewel made of minute details in which lights and sounds take on the form of the sea in slow motion: it is the finest moment of the day, nearing sunset. Without words, a man transmits the sense of time that flows past, of what happens, and or what is inevitably lost.
A lyrical and fable-like creation which brings together fantasy and classical theatre. Two different moments chosen by the director and creator Alain Moreau, to give the public “the key to open the door to a world of wonders”.
In 18 minutes Dans l’atelier tells the tale of the world of marionettes. A sort of guided tour, an initiatory journey that shows the step by step construction of a marionette, and why without this craftsmanship, there would be no such theatre. Tof Théâtre was founded in 1987 from an idea by the director Alain Moreau.
The first performance Le Tour du Bloc, is for both adults and children alike and has been staged over 500 times worldwide.
