Can one create theatre by mixing the language and style of classical theatre with reality or talk shows, or using the new space/time dimension of youtube by creating a device to be represented in a theatre or on a personal computer, rather like a television serial?
Stasera c’è Spettacolo? To play! is a part web-based and part theatrical project; a sort of textual mediation between interpretation and improvisation. Now the theatre is brought to the stage. Actors and texts in continual interaction with other actors, texts, theatre directors and the public to reveal those elements fundamental in the creative process, and specifically, in the “role of actor”. The cast is never static but grows continually by recruiting new actors willing to participate with a short text recited from memory.
Indeed, a different cast for the ten evening performances.
