Antonella Stefanucci makes references to Gilbert & George’s living sculptures, to the women statues by Vanessa Beecroft and, in a more general way, to the performance art of Marina Abramovic. The result is a humorous thought on the role of art in contemporary society. Virus is a misunderstood artist living in a plexiglas display case. She makes video-recordings of her-self with a smartphone: «it’s the story of a visual artist facing her problems and wanderings. The end of art, as we know it, considered as something sacred, a sanctuary; as something that is untouchable and that can’t be understood».
