Tempi nuovi is about a family facing the unexpected changes in our ages. A climax that will comically subvert the lives of four characters: a father, Giuseppe, who is an historian living buried by books. His son Antonio is the exact opposite, “floating” lightly through a youth that bears no connections with the past. Sabina, Giuseppe’s wife, is a journalist taking an electronics class. Clementina is the elder daughter of the couple, living on her own. Her parents think she is happily engaged to Davide, but she has a surprise for them, one that will greatly question her mother’s presumed open-mindedness.
Giuseppe, relentless of having to bear all the weight of the past will reveal the coup-de-théâtre he had in store.
