MARIA ATTANASIO/UMBERTO FIORI
(Maria Attanasio, Lampo)
Maria Attanasio resembles the clay from her homeland, Caltagirone in Sicily; she blends together time and tales, life and words. She writes historic novels and collection of verses. Her last work is entitled Blu della cancellazione.
Umberto Fiori, his previous experience as singer, author and musician for the group Stormy six has left him one important trait: the anti-rhetoric manner, when speaking of ordinary life matters and their unavoidable sense of strain. The titles of her works are quite revealing: Esempi, Case, Voi..
ALESSANDRO ACHILLI reads ROBERT WYATT
Alessandro Achilli has supervised and translated for ‘Giunti’ the biography Different every time, where he tells of the legendary voice of Robert Wyatt. Jazz, progressive, folk songs, the falsetto voice of Wyatt, it all contributed in transforming the music into a human poem without equals. After starting as drummer for the band Soft Machine, and the accident that forced him on a wheel chair, he went in search of a true essence of rhythm and voice, expressed in works such as Rock bottom.
