When Candiani is writing it’s as if she were praying; a set of exercises aiming to harmonize the passing and unimportant elements with what’s left and is found “above the chaos of life”. To write while praying is for her a chase after the primitive elements, like rain or thirst. It is an attempt at observing the “clear bottom of things”. Her poetry goes happily out of tune compared to the faded and monotonous passing of our times.

Maria Pia De Vito is one of the most original voices of research music in Italy. Among her vocal influences and inspirations there is Demetrio Stratos. With his, she will engage in a performance mixing electronics and vocal chords.
