Some characters develop in a space that is somehow connected to an involuntary (?) ambiguity, that can hardly be justified with History. It is the case of Leni Riefenstahl, extraordinary innovator of the cinema language. During her century of life, she was in danger living through the darkest and most bloody seasons of the nineteenth Century. Close, too close to the fires of Nazi regime, not to burn or jeopardize herself.
Leni, Il Trionfo della Bellezza is the story of the golden days of Olympia, and her accomplishment: a summary of the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, where sport is told with an epic touch, a narration of bodies, actions, glances and desires of  competition. Olympia celebrates the ideal representation of beauty, one that resembles both the Reich’s idea of aesthetics and the utopia of a sport competition free from ethnic and religious connotations.
On stage an architecture of narrative threads that overlap, giving shape to a single unique event: that of a woman symbol of the ups and downs of last Century that reaches the new Millenium with an enigma that is still unsolved.
